Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
